The genesis of Faith Mulira Health Care Center was an idea - and a vision - of bringing high-quality, affordable health care services to the residents of Masooli and surrounding communities in the Nangabo sub-county, an area outside of Kampala. Rather than hire a construction company, our project coordinators enlisted the villagers to assist with everything from making bricks to laying the foundation to finishing the landscape. The result is a beautiful building that will make a wonderful home for the clinic.
In October 2008, a group of FMHCC board members and friends traveled to Uganda to share in the dedication of the clinic and demonstrate our strong commitment to improving health care in Masooli. As you take this virtual tour in and around the village, we hope you will be as moved by the scenes of babies, school children and families as we were, and that you will understand how important operating the clinic is for the community.
